Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how subscription cancellations and refund requests are handled for BudgetPeasy subscriptions purchased through the BudgetPeasy website, the Apple App Store, or Google Play.

BudgetPeasy is operated by Peasy Software LLC (“Peasy Software,” “BudgetPeasy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Cancellation and Refunds Are Different

Canceling a subscription prevents future automatic renewal charges.

A refund returns some or all of a payment that has already been processed.

Canceling a subscription does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.

Unless a refund is approved, applicable law requires otherwise, or the billing provider states otherwise:

  • your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period;
  • you retain access to Premium features during that period;
  • no additional renewal payment will be charged after cancellation takes effect;
  • unused time in the current billing period is not refunded or credited.

2. Canceling a Subscription

You may cancel your BudgetPeasy Premium subscription at any time.

You must manage and cancel the subscription through the platform where it was originally purchased.

Website subscriptions

Website subscriptions are processed by Paddle.

You may cancel through:

  • the BudgetPeasy billing section, where available;
  • the subscription-management link in your Paddle confirmation or receipt email;
  • Paddle’s buyer-support portal.

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Paddle’s Buyer Terms also provide that cancellation prevents further renewal charges while access continues through the paid period.

Apple App Store subscriptions

Subscriptions purchased through the iOS application must be canceled through your Apple Account subscription settings.

On an iPhone or iPad, Apple currently provides subscription management under:

  1. Settings;
  2. your Apple Account name;
  3. Subscriptions;
  4. BudgetPeasy;
  5. Cancel Subscription.

Apple may use different steps on other devices or in certain regions.

Google Play subscriptions

Subscriptions purchased through the Android application must be canceled through Google Play.

Canceling normally stops the next renewal while allowing access to continue until the end of the period already paid for. Uninstalling the application does not cancel the subscription.

3. Account Deletion Does Not Always Cancel a Subscription

Deleting your BudgetPeasy account does not necessarily cancel a subscription managed by Apple or Google Play.

Before requesting account deletion, review and cancel the subscription through the provider where it was purchased.

If a store subscription remains active after the BudgetPeasy account is deleted, Apple or Google may continue charging the subscription until it is separately canceled.

For a website subscription processed by Paddle, BudgetPeasy will attempt to identify and cancel an active subscription as part of the account-deletion process where technically and legally appropriate. You remain responsible for reviewing the subscription status and any confirmation provided by Paddle.

4. Website Purchases Processed by Paddle

Paddle is the authorized reseller and payment provider for subscriptions purchased through the BudgetPeasy website. The purchase transaction is also governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.

First subscription payment

For a first website subscription payment, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days after the payment date.

Peasy Software will generally support the request unless:

  • there is evidence of fraud or refund abuse;
  • the payment has already been refunded;
  • the transaction is subject to a conflicting mandatory requirement;
  • another exceptional circumstance reasonably prevents the refund.

Paddle reviews and processes the transaction through its refund system.

Annual subscription renewals

For an automatically renewed annual website subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days after the annual renewal payment.

If the refund is approved, the annual subscription may be canceled immediately and Premium access may end when the refund is processed.

Monthly subscription renewals

Monthly renewal payments are generally non-refundable after they have been processed.

Canceling a monthly subscription prevents the next renewal but does not normally refund the current month.

We may approve an exception where:

  • the payment was duplicated;
  • the amount was incorrect;
  • the payment occurred after a valid cancellation;
  • Premium access was not provided because of a material technical failure;
  • the transaction was unauthorized;
  • a refund is required by applicable law.

Paddle statutory rights

Paddle’s current Refund Policy provides statutory withdrawal rights in certain countries and circumstances, including a 14-day right for some digital-service transactions. The exact right can depend on the buyer’s location, whether the subscription is a first payment or renewal, and whether use of the digital service has started. Mandatory consumer rights always take priority over this Policy.

How to request a Paddle refund

A website refund may be requested through:

  • the receipt or subscription-management link provided by Paddle;
  • Paddle’s buyer-support portal;
  • the BudgetPeasy billing or support section.

Please provide enough information to locate the transaction, such as:

  • the email address used at checkout;
  • the transaction or receipt reference;
  • the payment date;
  • the reason for the request.

Do not send a complete payment-card number or CVV.

5. Apple App Store Purchases

Subscriptions purchased through Apple are billed and managed by Apple.

Refund requests for App Store purchases must normally be submitted through Apple’s Report a Problem service.

Apple determines:

  • whether the purchase is eligible for a refund;
  • whether the refund is full or partial;
  • when the refund is processed;
  • when access to the refunded subscription ends.

Peasy Software cannot directly issue, approve, guarantee, or accelerate an Apple refund.

Apple states that refund eligibility can vary by country or region and that mandatory consumer-protection rights continue to apply.

BudgetPeasy Support may assist with:

  • identifying a technical problem;
  • confirming whether Premium access was activated;
  • locating general subscription information;
  • providing documentation that may help explain a refund request.

Such assistance does not guarantee that Apple will approve the request.

6. Google Play Purchases

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are billed and managed through Google Play.

You may submit a refund request through Google Play. You may also contact BudgetPeasy Support regarding:

  • duplicate or incorrect charges;
  • Premium access that was not delivered;
  • a material technical problem;
  • a refund request made after Google directs you to contact the developer.

Google states that requests made within 48 hours may be reviewed by Google depending on the circumstances. After 48 hours, users may be directed to contact the developer, who may process a refund according to the developer’s policy and applicable law.

Peasy Software may issue a Google Play refund when:

  • the payment was duplicated;
  • the amount was incorrect;
  • Premium access was not delivered;
  • a valid cancellation failed and caused another payment;
  • the product had a material unresolved defect;
  • the transaction was unauthorized;
  • applicable law requires a refund;
  • we approve another reasonable exception.

Any approved refund will be processed through Google Play.

Google Play also provides specific withdrawal or partial-refund rights in certain countries, regions, and circumstances. Those rights apply regardless of the general rules in this Policy.

7. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges

Contact us promptly if you believe that:

  • you were charged more than once;
  • you were charged after canceling;
  • the subscription price was incorrect;
  • the wrong plan was charged;
  • Premium was not activated after payment.

We will investigate the subscription record and coordinate with Paddle, Apple, or Google where appropriate.

If the billing provider confirms a duplicate or incorrect charge, a full refund of the incorrect transaction will normally be requested or issued.

8. Unauthorized Transactions

If you do not recognize a transaction:

  1. review your Paddle, Apple, or Google purchase history;
  2. determine whether another authorized member of your household made the purchase;
  3. secure the relevant account and payment method;
  4. contact the billing provider promptly;
  5. contact your financial institution where appropriate;
  6. notify BudgetPeasy Support so we can protect the associated BudgetPeasy account.

The billing provider may require the unauthorized-transaction report to be submitted within a specific period.

Do not knowingly submit both a refund request and a payment dispute for the same transaction without informing the provider. Duplicate refund and chargeback processes can delay resolution.

9. Technical Problems

Before requesting a refund for a technical problem, contact BudgetPeasy Support and give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate.

Please include:

  • the platform used;
  • the approximate date and time;
  • the affected feature;
  • the app or browser version, where available;
  • a description of what occurred.

Do not include passwords, complete payment-card information, or unnecessary financial-record content.

A temporary inconvenience, planned maintenance period, device incompatibility, or issue caused solely by unsupported software does not automatically qualify for a refund.

A refund may be appropriate where a material unresolved defect prevented you from receiving the Premium features described at purchase. Paddle’s policy also provides a refund process for persistent technical or product defects.

10. Effect of a Refund

When a full refund is issued:

  • the related subscription may be canceled;
  • Premium access may end immediately;
  • associated subscription entitlements may be revoked across web, iOS, and Android;
  • the payment is returned through the original billing provider;
  • the refund normally returns to the original payment method.

A refund does not require Peasy Software to delete your BudgetPeasy account or financial records.

You may continue using a Free plan after Premium access ends, subject to the limits of that plan.

11. Partial and Prorated Refunds

BudgetPeasy generally does not provide prorated refunds based solely on unused days in a billing period.

Partial refunds may be provided when:

  • required by law;
  • supported and required by the billing provider;
  • a price correction is necessary;
  • only part of a transaction was invalid;
  • another exceptional circumstance justifies a partial refund.

Some Google Play users in specified jurisdictions may have access to immediate cancellation and prorated refunds under Google’s regional rules.

12. Trials and Promotional Offers

Cancel a trial or promotional subscription before the displayed renewal date to avoid the next charge.

Uninstalling the application does not cancel a trial or subscription.

A refund is not guaranteed merely because a user:

  • forgot to cancel a trial;
  • did not use the Service;
  • used only some Premium features;
  • changed devices;
  • created another account;
  • purchased the same subscription through another platform.

We may make reasonable exceptions, particularly for a first payment reported promptly.

13. Multiple Active Subscriptions

It is possible to create separate subscriptions through the website, Apple App Store, and Google Play.

BudgetPeasy will take reasonable steps to warn users about an existing Premium entitlement, but the user is responsible for reviewing subscriptions held through each provider.

A subscription purchased through one platform does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through another platform.

Contact us promptly if you believe you created duplicate subscriptions accidentally. We will review the account and help identify the available cancellation or refund options.

14. Refund Abuse

We may decline a voluntary refund request where there is reasonable evidence of:

  • repeated purchases followed by repeated refunds;
  • misuse of free trials or promotions;
  • fraudulent payment activity;
  • chargeback abuse;
  • creation of multiple accounts to bypass limits;
  • substantial use of Premium followed by a bad-faith refund request;
  • false information submitted in support of a request.

This section does not limit mandatory consumer rights.

15. Processing Times

Refund processing times depend on:

  • Paddle, Apple, or Google;
  • the payment method;
  • the buyer’s bank or card issuer;
  • the buyer’s country or region.

Peasy Software cannot guarantee when an approved refund will appear on a financial statement.

Apple notes that approved refunds may take additional time to return to the payment method, depending on the payment type and financial institution.

16. Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Where applicable law or a billing provider gives you greater cancellation, withdrawal, warranty, or refund rights, the greater rights apply.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when:

  • subscription plans change;
  • billing providers change;
  • provider policies change;
  • applicable law changes;
  • our voluntary refund practices change.

The version in effect when a transaction occurred may be relevant to the handling of that transaction.

We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
