This Cookie Policy explains how Peasy Software LLC (“Peasy Software,” “BudgetPeasy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies through the BudgetPeasy website and web application.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website.

Cookies can help a website:

  • recognize your browser or session;
  • keep you signed in;
  • protect forms and accounts;
  • remember preferences;
  • maintain security;
  • complete actions you request.

Some cookies exist only during the current browser session. Others remain until they expire or you delete them.

2. Similar Technologies

This Policy also covers technologies that perform functions similar to cookies, including:

  • browser local storage;
  • session storage;
  • secure device storage;
  • device or session identifiers;
  • software development kit storage;
  • pixels, tags, or similar technologies if added in the future.

BudgetPeasy mobile applications may use secure device storage, authentication tokens, subscription identifiers, and preference storage. Our Privacy Policy provides additional information about data processing in the mobile applications.

3. How BudgetPeasy Uses Cookies

BudgetPeasy currently uses cookies and similar technologies primarily for essential application functionality, authentication, security, and user preferences.

The Service does not currently use advertising pixels, cross-site advertising cookies, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising trackers.

4. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies allow BudgetPeasy to provide features you request and protect the Service.

They may be used to:

  • create and maintain an authenticated session;
  • keep you signed in;
  • connect requests to the correct account;
  • protect forms against cross-site request forgery;
  • prevent unauthorized access;
  • detect fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity;
  • enforce security and rate limits;
  • support load balancing and service availability;
  • maintain checkout or subscription-management state;
  • remember your cookie preferences;
  • complete another action you explicitly request.

BudgetPeasy may not function correctly if these cookies are blocked.

Where permitted by applicable law, strictly necessary cookies may be used without optional-cookie consent because they are required to provide or secure the Service.

5. Authentication and Session Cookies

BudgetPeasy uses authentication and session technologies to:

  • identify your signed-in session;
  • maintain access to private wallets and account settings;
  • prevent another user from accessing your account;
  • support session expiration and revocation;
  • remember your session when you select a feature such as “remember me.”

Some session cookies expire when you close your browser. Others may remain for a limited configured period.

Signing out, terminating a session, clearing browser data, or deleting your account may remove or invalidate these technologies.

BudgetPeasy and its infrastructure providers may use security technologies to:

  • detect automated traffic;
  • protect authentication endpoints;
  • identify suspicious activity;
  • prevent technical abuse;

  • maintain availability during traffic or infrastructure events.

Hosting, network-security, or content-delivery providers may set their own strictly necessary security or load-balancing cookies.

7. Preference Cookies

BudgetPeasy may use cookies or local browser storage to remember settings such as:

  • language or locale;
  • timezone;
  • date and time display;
  • preferred currency display;
  • interface preferences;
  • dismissed notices;
  • cookie choices.

Some preferences may instead be stored in your BudgetPeasy account and synchronized between devices.

Preference technologies may remain until they expire, you change the setting, or you clear your browser data.

8. Cookie-Choice Records

Where BudgetPeasy displays a cookie-preference control, we may store your selection so that we do not ask you to make the same choice on every visit.

This record may indicate that you:

  • accepted optional cookies;

  • selected particular cookie categories;
  • later changed or withdrew your choice.

Cookie-choice records may be retained for a reasonable period to remember your preference and demonstrate that an appropriate choice was presented.

9. Paddle Checkout Cookies

Website subscriptions are processed through Paddle.

When you open Paddle Checkout, a Paddle receipt, or Paddle subscription-management tools, Paddle may use its own cookies and similar technologies for:

  • checkout functionality;
  • payment processing;
  • tax calculation;
  • fraud prevention;
  • authentication;
  • subscription management;
  • refunds;
  • buyer support.

Paddle controls these technologies under its own privacy, cookie, and buyer disclosures.

Peasy Software does not receive or store your complete payment-card number, CVV, or bank-account details through these cookies.

10. Apple and Google Technologies

Apple and Google may use their own account, device, subscription, payment, and store technologies when you:

  • sign in using an Apple or Google identity;
  • purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store;
  • purchase a subscription through Google Play;
  • manage or restore a mobile subscription;
  • submit a refund request.

These technologies are governed by Apple’s or Google’s policies rather than this Cookie Policy.

11. Analytics

BudgetPeasy does not currently use audited third-party advertising cookies or behavioral analytics cookies.

We may process limited server-side operational metrics such as:

  • route name;
  • request method;
  • response status;
  • processing duration;
  • platform;
  • application version;
  • technical error category.

These operational metrics are designed not to include:

  • request bodies;
  • expense descriptions;
  • wallet names;
  • ChatBot messages;
  • voice transcripts;
  • authorization headers;
  • cookies;
  • payment details.

If we introduce optional browser analytics in the future, we will:

  • update this Cookie Policy;
  • identify the provider;
  • explain the purpose;
  • disclose the applicable retention period;
  • provide consent controls where required;
  • prevent non-essential analytics cookies from being set before consent where applicable.

12. Advertising and Cross-Site Tracking

BudgetPeasy does not currently use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • show targeted advertising;
  • create advertising profiles from financial records;
  • track users across unrelated websites or applications;
  • sell browsing activity;
  • share browsing activity for cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • send expense, wallet, ChatBot, or voice content to advertising networks.

If these practices change, we will update this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy before deploying the relevant technology and provide any legally required consent or opt-out controls.

13. Consent for Optional Cookies

Where applicable law requires consent, BudgetPeasy will not set non-essential cookies until you have made a choice.

Consent must be:

  • informed;
  • specific;
  • freely given;
  • expressed through a clear action.

Continuing to browse without making a choice is not treated as consent to non-essential cookies where affirmative consent is required.

Rejecting optional cookies should be reasonably as accessible as accepting them.

You may withdraw or change your choice through the available cookie-preference controls.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.

14. Managing Cookies Through BudgetPeasy

Where a cookie-preference control is available, you may use it to:

  • accept optional cookies;
  • reject optional cookies;
  • enable or disable particular categories;
  • review your existing choice;
  • withdraw consent.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot normally be disabled through the BudgetPeasy preference center because the Service may not function securely without them.

15. Browser Controls

Most browsers allow you to:

  • review stored cookies;
  • delete individual cookies;
  • delete all cookies;
  • block cookies;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • clear cookies when the browser closes;
  • use private or incognito browsing.

Browser controls differ between browsers, operating systems, and devices.

Blocking or deleting all cookies may:

  • sign you out;
  • prevent authentication;
  • interrupt form submission;
  • prevent subscription management;
  • reset your preferences;
  • interfere with security protections;
  • prevent some BudgetPeasy features from working.

Browser controls do not necessarily remove information already stored in your BudgetPeasy account.

16. Local Storage and Session Storage

BudgetPeasy may use browser local storage or session storage for limited purposes such as:

  • temporary interface state;
  • language or display preferences;
  • security or authentication support;
  • maintaining an action that is in progress;
  • remembering a dismissed notice.

We do not intentionally store complete financial histories, ChatBot transcripts, voice recordings, passwords, or complete payment details in unprotected browser storage.

Sensitive account and financial records remain on BudgetPeasy systems and are accessed through authenticated requests.

17. Mobile Application Storage

The BudgetPeasy mobile applications may store limited information on your device, including:

  • authentication credentials or tokens in secure device storage;
  • interface preferences;
  • cached application state;
  • subscription or entitlement identifiers;
  • temporary data needed to complete an action.

Mobile storage is not necessarily controlled through browser cookie settings.

You can generally remove mobile application storage by signing out, using available privacy controls, clearing application data where supported, or deleting the application. Deleting the application does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription.

18. Email Technologies

Service emails may include limited technical elements needed for:

  • secure delivery;
  • authentication;
  • confirming an account action;
  • diagnosing delivery failures;
  • protecting against abuse.

BudgetPeasy does not use email activity to build advertising profiles.

If optional marketing emails or marketing measurement technologies are introduced, they will be subject to appropriate consent or opt-out controls where required.

19. Retention

Cookie and similar-technology retention depends on the purpose.

Session cookies generally expire when:

  • the browser session ends;
  • you sign out;
  • the authenticated session expires;
  • the session is revoked for security reasons.

Security cookies may remain for a limited period necessary to detect abuse, protect authentication, or maintain service availability.

Preference cookies may remain until:

  • they expire;
  • you change the preference;
  • you delete browser data;
  • the relevant feature is removed.

Cookie-choice records may remain long enough to remember your selection and demonstrate that a choice was provided.

Third-party cookies are retained according to the relevant provider’s policies.

We aim not to retain cookies longer than reasonably necessary for their stated purpose.

20. Third-Party Websites

BudgetPeasy may link to external services such as:

  • Paddle checkout and buyer-support pages;
  • Apple subscription and refund pages;
  • Google Play subscription and refund pages;
  • authentication-provider pages;
  • other support or infrastructure services.

When you leave BudgetPeasy, the destination service may place its own cookies or use similar technologies.

Peasy Software does not control cookies placed directly by independent third-party websites.

You should review the destination service’s privacy and cookie notices before changing settings or submitting personal information.

21. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Signals

Browser “Do Not Track” settings are not interpreted consistently across the internet.

BudgetPeasy does not currently use behavioral advertising trackers that require a separate Do Not Track response.

Where applicable law requires recognition of a supported universal opt-out signal for sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will honor that signal for the processing to which it legally applies.

22. Production Cookie Register

The exact cookie names, domains, providers, and expiration periods may vary depending on:

  • the deployed application version;
  • the production domain;
  • the authentication configuration;
  • the browser;
  • the infrastructure provider;
  • Paddle checkout behavior.

Peasy Software maintains or will maintain an internal production cookie register based on the technologies actually used by the deployed Service.

We will review this register when:

  • authentication changes;
  • a new infrastructure provider is added;
  • a new third-party script is introduced;
  • analytics or marketing technologies are added;
  • checkout behavior changes;
  • a material application release changes browser storage.

23. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy when:

  • cookies or similar technologies change;
  • a new provider is introduced;
  • optional analytics are added;
  • subscription or authentication providers change;
  • retention periods change;
  • legal requirements change.

We will update the effective date when changes are made.

If we introduce a materially different non-essential use, we will request new consent where required.
